Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin was seen frustrated after being adjudged LBW during the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2025 match between Dindigul Dragons and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans on June 8.

The Dindigul Dragons' captain was dismissed by Sai Kishore and engaged in an argument with the on-field umpire. The disagreement came from Ashwin’s belief that the ball had pitched well outside the leg stump. As he walked back to the pavilion after scoring 18, the upset Ashwin was seen hitting his pads with the bat in anger. Notably, Dindigul Dragons lost their two reviews in the opening over to check the wide deliveries.

“Ashwin is saying ‘he has bowled this from over the stumps, ma’am,’ arguing his case that it was pitched well outside leg stump,” a commentator said on air.

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans were chasing a low target of 94, and they lost opener Amit Sathvik early for 13. But Tushar Raheja and Radhakrishnan steadied the innings with a solid second-wicket partnership of 75 runs in 52 balls. Raheja led the chase with an explosive 64 off just 39 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes.
