There was a dance performance by the dance artists and a singing performance by Shankar Mahadevan and his team before the start of the IPL 2025 Final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. The theme of the performance was to honour the Indian Armed Forces for their consistent efforts to safeguard the citizens of the country.

The special performance started with a dance performance from a team that danced to songs like Teri Mitti, Hum India Waale, Challa (Main Lad Jaana), all of which are themed around patriotism in Bollywood movies. Following the dance performance was a singing performance from Shankar Mahadevan, Siddharth Mahadevan, Shivam Mahadevan, and Shrinidhi Ghatate.

Their songs also revolved around a majority of Bollywood classics like Lehra Do, Hindustani, and Lakshya, along with Maa Tujhe Salaam and Jai Ho. Before starting their performance, Shankar and Co. thanked the Indian Armed Forces for safeguarding the Indian Borders and paid them a tribute.

Punjab Kings bowl first in the IPL 2025 Final

Following the performance, the toss took place between the two sides. Shreyas Iyer called it right and did not hesitate a bit to bowl first. The PBKS skipper treated the final to be a big game and hoped to win the big match to help the 2014 finalists win their maiden title in the 18th edition of the league.

Rajat Patidar claimed that he would have opted to bowl first as well. He felt it to be another game and agreed to the pressure to deliver at all costs. Neither team had any changes, as they went with the same team they played in their previous encounter.
