In the night match of the second and last Saturday double header of IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Lucknow.
Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the points table while LSG are placed fourth particularly buoyed by their season double on CSK. The two teams had come up against each other earlier in the season at Jaipur, where RR emerged victorious, LSG will want to settle the scores and extend their newfound winning streak to three matches.
RR will be looking to get their own winning streak up to four matches in a row, given that they have lost only one out of their eight matches so far and they seem to be going from strength to strength as evident by their latest match which was against Mumbai Indians at Jaipur. Bolstered by very strong bowling spells from Sandeep Sharma both in the powerplay and at the death, RR made very light work of the target of 180 set by MI by chasing it down by losing just one wicket thanks to a century by Yashasvi Jaiswal.

LSG must have enjoyed doing the season double over CSK but it wasn't as rosy. First, they conceded 210 to CSK with a century from Ruturaj Gaikwad and fifty from Shivam Dube. LSG then lost two wickets in the powerplay and not for that many runs either, until Marcus Stoinis's counter-attacking century dug them out of the hole and powered LSG to the highest successful chase at Chennai in IPL history.
The reverse fixture was the first match in IPL 2024 for both teams. It was held at Jaipur and RR scored a very clinical win after fifties from Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag took RR to 193. LSG in reply fell 20 short.
