The excitement moves to Boland Park in Paarl for the third and final match, taking place on Thursday, December 21, 2023. The Men in Blue batted first and posted a total of 211, thanks to half-centuries from Sai Sudharsan (62) and KL Rahul (56). Nandre Burger was the star with the ball, picking up three wickets. In reply, Tony de Zorzi stole all the limelight with a magnificent maiden ODI century. His masterful knock of 119 runs, laced with nine fours and six sixes, was the backbone of South Africa's chase. Reeza Hendricks provided valuable support with a fifty, and Rassie van der Dussen chipped in with 36 runs. India's bowlers struggled to contain the South African batters, with only Arshdeep Singh and Rinku Singh managing to take wickets. The Proteas reached the target with 45 balls remaining, levelling the series 1-1.

South Africa boast an impressive record at Boland Park in Paarl, winning eight out of nine ODIs played there with a phenomenal 88.89% winning percentage. The upcoming third ODI will be the third time these cricketing giants have clashed at Boland Park, and South Africa have emerged victorious in both previous encounters. Both India and South Africa are aiming for a win in the third ODI, each with their own series ambitions.
