Heavy rains have battered Mumbai in the past couple of days. The financial capital of the country has been battling with waterlogging in several areas, with winds reaching up to 107 km per hour. The normalcy has been disrupted across the city and State Minister Aaditya Thackeray has urged everyone to stay indoors amid these trying times.
Many cricketers shared about the situation through which Mumbai is going through at the moment. Cricketer-turned commentator Aakash Chopra also rued the situation and suggested everyone to stay safe. Iqbal Abdullah also urged everyone to stay safe during the rains. Many cricketers also rued the Beirut explosions which shook the whole city and killed at least 113 people, injuring more than 4,000 individuals.
Meanwhile, in the groundbreaking ceremony, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid a 40kg silver brick in the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of the grand temple at Ayodhya. The event was attended by many spiritual leaders. Twitter was flooded with pictures and videos of the event any many former and current players including Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir and Mohammad Kaif shared about the same.
