The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around various events as cricketers spent time through their official handles. India and Australia are set to play in the second of the three-match ODI series on Sunday. The hosts won the series opener by 66 runs. They were exceptional with the bat with Aaron Finch and Steve Smith scoring centuries. India lacked the sixth bowling option desperately and the buzz was around that itself.

Former India cricketers Mohammad Kaif and Aakash Chopra were involved in a conversation over the same issue. Kaif felt sorry for India skipper Virat Kohli as he had no option but to go with five bowlers with no player of such skill in the squad. Michael Vaughan, however, already predicted Australia’s win looking at India’s poor show in the first game.

Meanwhile, Sydney Thunder defeated the favourites Melbourne Stars in the final of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). The Rachel Haynes-led side thumped the Stars in the final to win the title and the cricketing fraternity was all praise of the team.
