The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around the crucial Super Four encounters in the ongoing Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates. India took on Pakistan for the second time in four days and a winner of this game will almost seal a place in the final while Afghanistan and Bangladesh squared off to stay alive in the tournament. Kevin Pietersen was unhappy with Sarfraz Ahmed‘s decision to bat first after winning the toss and felt that Pakistan will have to win the match now.

Also, the fraternity praised MS Dhoni for his excellent decision to go for a review to dismiss Imam-ul-Haq in the eighth over of the innings. It gave India a much-needed breakthrough after the openers had successfully seen the new ball bowlers through. Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh was effusive in praise of Shoaib Malik for playing a superb knock to bring his team back in the game after they were reduced to 58/3 due to some poor decisions they took in the middle.

Virat Kohli enjoyed his lunch with his wife and friends as he has been rested for the Asia Cup. However, he must be definitely having one eye on the proceedings as India are playing against Pakistan. RP Singh loved the way Jasprit Bumrah bowled at the death to restrict to a low total of 237 even after Malik’s 78-run knock which at one stage threatened to take the score beyond 250.
