David Warner would never forget the year 2018 and it is for all the wrong reasons. Warner’s career took an unfortunate turn in March last year when he was caught being involved in ball-tampering scandal along with teammates Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft. Cricket Australia immediately banned the trio, handing Warner and Smith a 12-month ban while banning Bancroft for nine months.
Well, Warner could not have asked for a better end to a horrific year. His wife Candice Warner gave him pretty to cheer about by revealing she is pregnant again after suffering a miscarriage in the aftermath of the ball-tampering scandal. In May last year, Candice had revealed that she lost a baby a week after her husband’s tearful press conference after he was sent home following the ball-tampering scandal.
Candice took to Twitter on Monday evening to make the announcement, ending a horror 2018 for the couple on a bright note. The couple already has two young children, Ivy Mae and Indi Rae.
“Being together has made us into the family we are today. We are so grateful for all the love and support everyone has shown us this year. It is with a full heart that we would like to share with you that in 2019 our family of 4 will become a family of 5. Happy new year” she said.

Warner is missed
Meanwhile, Australia’s Test captain Tim Paine has said that the team misses Steve Smith and Warner after the loss in the third Test against India. Paine admitted that Australia are in dire need of Smith and Warner to fill the huge hole they have left in the batting order.
“I think it’s pretty clear that if you take two or three of the best players out of anyone’s line-up around the world, you’re going to struggle a little bit at times and you are going to have inconsistent performances,” Paine had said after the loss.
India thrashed Australia by 137 runs in Melbourne to take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the four-match series. Australia are now in danger of losing a Test series against India at home for the very first time.
