Indian Premier League is a paradise for cricketers. There are no comparisons made between the big players and small players but rivalries take place between the teams. Cricketers from across the globe come down and play for the franchises in the cash-rich league.

In the last decade, the league has become a talent manufacturing unit for Team India and other countries. The team management of the franchises scouts domestic players from across the globe and trade them into the league. For Team India, this league has been a boon for drafting in players like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar, and others.

Deepak Chahar comes up with a desire in his Instagram story

Deepak Chahar is a product of IPL, who currently plays for Chennai Super Kings in the league. He is one of those players who have been backed by MS Dhoni on many occasions. While playing in the yellow jersey in the Indian Premier League, he has performed decently well for his side. In his last season, he bagged 22 wickets for CSK in his 17 appearances and was the bowling spearhead of the team.

This year he also featured for Team India against West Indies and South Africa in the T20I series. And is looked down upon as the future of Indian bowling by the selectors. The days for him are going pretty well as a bowler and is also picked for the T20I series against Bangladesh. Recently, he updated an Instagram story in which he looks ready and it was quite evident that Chahar has a lot of expectations as a bowler in IPL 2020.

He updated a story in which he took a picture of Amitabh Bachchan-anchored show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” in which the senior Bollywood actor asks his contestant that, “Who finally wore the purple cap at the end of IPL 2019?” and the options available were Imran Tahir, Kagiso Rabada, Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Gopal. CSK bowler highlighted his name amongst the options given and wrote in the caption, “Maybe 2020 option C”.

In IPL, the purple cap is given to the bowler who has taken most wickets throughout the season and Chahar expects to get the elite award in the upcoming season. He made his dream debut for the Indian team in ODI against Afghanistan and then went onto play four T20Is.
