England and Australia are set to lock horns in the Super Saturday clash of the T20 World Cup 2021. The encounter takes place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 20. Both teams have gotten off to a stellar start in this competition and would be raring to win the upcoming fixture. While Australia defeated South Africa and Sri Lanka in their first two fixtures, the Three Lions got the better of defending champions West Indies and Bangladesh. With the Ashes series scheduled to get underway later this year, a close contest might set the right tone for the high-voltage Test series.

Last T20 World Cup meeting:
Who can forget the last T20 World Cup meeting between the Ashes rivals? It was the final of the 2010 edition and the venue was Bridgetown. The coin landed in England’s favour and they unsurprisingly elected to bowl. English bowlers justified the decision by rattling Australia’s batting order. The Men in Yellow somehow posted 147/6 thanks to a brilliant half-century from David Hussey.
England’s chase didn’t start off well as opener Michael Lumb got out early. However, Craig Kieswetter joined forces with in-form Kevin Pietersen and it was one-way traffic since then. The former scored a half-century as England crossed the line in 17 overs, winning the game by seven wickets. They were also crowned champions subsequently.
