England’s end of 2021 was very ordinary. They lost the first three Test matches of the Ashes 2021-22 quite one-sidedly and will want a fresh start in 2022. Joe Root was extraordinary with the bat in 2021 and England will wish that he will continue doing that.
There are two Test matches left in the series which will be played from January 5 to 9 and the last Test will be from January 14 to 18. Right after The Ashes, the limited-overs English side will travel to the Caribbean Islands to play five T20Is, starting from January 22. Then a three-match Test series from March to 28 will commence after the T20I series.
New Zealand will be the first visitors to feature in that season and will play three Test matches on English soil. The first Test match will be played at Lord’s (July 2 to 6) followed by the Trent Bridge Test (July 10 to 14). The last game of the series will be at Headingly (July 23 to 27).
The home season will take a pause when England will go to the lands of the Netherlands to play three in Amstelveen from June 17 to 22.. The Mighty Indian side will play the home season of the English side when they will come to play the fifth Test match of the previous Test series, which was postponed from 2021 to 2022. After that, they will play three T20Is and three ODIs.
South Africa will be visiting England for three ODIs, T20Is and Tests each in July-September. The ODI series will be played from July 19 to 24, while the T20I series from July 27 to 31. The main highlight of the tour will be the Test series in which will be played from August 17 to September 12. England will play the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which will take place from October 16 to November 13. England Cricket Team will also visit Pakistan but the schedule is still not confirmed.
