James and Kayla Pattinson have a daughter Lilah Ruby who was born in 2018. The retired Australian international cricketer was busy with domestic and county cricket where he played for Nottinghamshire. Apart from that, James is also playing Australian domestic cricket and he is currently contracted with Victoria.
James Pattinson prioritizes rest over BBL
Last month, the 32-year-old ended his three-year contract with the Melbourne Renegades and clarified that he will not be participating in the 12th edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) as he wanted to spend a quality amount of time with the family and also take some time off to recover during the Christmas break after his state and county commitments.
James Pattinson bid adieu to international cricket having represented Australia for a decade. While he could not attain fame and fortune in white-ball cricket, Pattinson was one of their frontline speedsters in the longest format and was a good bowler during the early phase of his Test career before he was sidelined during the 2012 home season due to a torn side injury.
However, once he was back in action, James Pattinson was named as one of Australia’s key pacers for the 2012/13 tour of India where he went on to register a fifer on what was seemingly a flat Cheapauk wicket where he accounted for the likes of Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja.
