Bangladesh (BAN) will face Hong Kong (HK) in the third match of the Asia Cup 2025 on Thursday, September 11, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Hong Kong faced Afghanistan in their first game in the tournament. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat. Powered by Sediqullah Atal’s 73 runs off 52 deliveries and Azmatullah Omarzai’s quick 53 off 21, Afghanistan scored 188 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. For Hong Kong, Ayush Shukla and Kinchit Shah took two wickets each.

Chasing the target, Hong Kong were restricted to 94 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost by 94 runs. Only two batters reached double figures, with Babar Hayat top-scoring with 39 runs off 43 deliveries. For Afghanistan, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Gulbadin Naib took two wickets each, while Omarzai claimed one and was named Player of the Match.
