In the fifth match of the PSL 2026, Quetta Gladiators (QUE) will take on Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYK). Quetta Gladiators endured a setback in their opening match of PSL 2026, losing by 14 runs against Karachi. Karachi, batting first, put up 181 runs on the board, while Quetta managed only 167 in reply. Quetta got a promising start from the top order, with Saud Shakeel scoring 33 runs and Shamyl Hussain contributing a well-made 52. However, the middle and lower orders failed to capitalise on the foundation. In the bowling department, Ahmed Daniyal delivered an impressive performance, claiming three wickets for 36 runs in his four overs, while Alzarri Joseph chipped in with two wickets.

On the other hand, Hyderabad Kingsmen had a disappointing start to their PSL campaign, suffering a heavy 69-run defeat against Lahore Qalandars in their opening match. Batting first, Lahore posted a total of 199 runs, while Hyderabad were all out for just 130 in response. Captain Marnus Labuschagne emerged as the top scorer for Hyderabad with 26 runs off 22 deliveries.

Among the bowlers, Riley Meredith and Hassan Khan picked up two wickets each. Overall, Hyderabad struggled in both the batting and bowling departments and will look to address these shortcomings in their upcoming fixture.
