Every year the Indian Premier League (IPL) witnesses the heroics of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers together. The duo mesmerizes every cricket fans with their exceptional batting when they join hands on the 22 yards. A similar thing happened during the game between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) when they stitched a partnership of 118 runs to ace the chase of 181 runs. However, both were so special on the day that even the CEO of Google Sundar Pichai praised them terming himself as lucky to watch them batting.

RCB’s fortunes were in doldrums after their openers were back in the hut early in the innings which brought Kohli and De Villiers to the crease. Both took their time first and got their eyes in before starting the assault against the bowling attack. While the former smashed 70 runs off just 40 deliveries, the South African made sure there were no more hiccups in the chase and remained unbeaten until the end on 72 eventually winning the Man of the Match award as well.

Kohli’s thanks Sundar Pichai

After the victory, Virat Kohli was delighted that his team had managed to stay alive in the tournament and showered his praises on his teammate De Villiers. He was also glad that their partnership had won the game for RCB. “Have always loved batting with this guy. Makes things simpler for the person at the other end. Today was yet another special partnership. Glad to finish on a winning note. #DDvRCB #IPL2018 @ABdeVilliers17,” he tweeted.

Surprisingly, the CEO of Google Sundar Pichai responded to his tweet while also saying that he was lucky to watch the game live. He was in awe of the duo over their classical cricketing shots and said, “Was lucky to watch it live, you and @ABdeVilliers17 made it look so easy! and with classic cricketing shots too, really enjoying #IPL2018 this year.”

Though Kohli was late in his response to the special person who lauded him and his teammate, he made sure that he thanked him for watching the IPL by taking the time out from his busy schedule. “Thank you @sundarpichai! Glad we could entertain you,” his reply read.
