Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are the power couple of the Indian scene at the moment. Their love story is an inspiration for everyone else as they started off with an awkward joke and moved on to a lovely destination wedding in Italy in December of 2017. The duo has been inseparable ever since, with Anushka attending Kohli’s matches both for the Indian team in the country and abroad and even during his IPL tournaments over the time.

Anushka Sharma, meanwhile is one of the leading ladies of the Bollywood at the moment and has not only acted in movies but had moved onto production as well. She has also come up with her own clothing line named ‘Nush’ and was last seen on the silver screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Zero. She had made her debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008 with Shah Rukh under the Yash Raj banner.

Virat Kohli talks about meeting Anushka for the first time during a shampoo commercial

Virat Kohli has often talked about his first meeting with Anushka Sharma, which happened on the sets of a commercial shoot for a shampoo brand. “The thing that fascinated me the most was how relaxed and chilled out for what she already was at the stage. She was welcoming and comforting. These are things that helped us become really friendly,” Virat Kohli was quoted as saying during a candid chat with India Today Consulting Editor, Sports, Boria Majumdar.

He further added that he was really thankful for the commercial which led him to meet his future better-half. “We started cracking jokes. I was the one who was fooling around all the time. Some of the jokes were really silly but that’s how I am. I love having a good time and having a laugh. I am really glad that shampoo commercial happened,” Kohli added.

Before the marriage in December 2017, Kohli and Anushka were in a relationship for four years and now reside in Mumbai itself. Kohli has often sung praises of his wife as to how Anushka has helped him become more mature and sensible. He has become more responsible as well and has lauded Anushka for helping him understand things and put things into perspective a lot better than before.
