The COVID 19 pandemic has brought almost every activity to an impasse with sports being no exception. Amidst a flurry of restrictions, all that the players have been doing is practicing social distancing and self-isolation. However, quite a few players have been constantly active on social media platforms to keep their fans engaged.

Rohit Sharma on Saturday shared a picture with wife Ritika Sajdeh on Instagram where the charming couple can be seen spending some quality time with each other. The ‘Hitman’ captioned the picture, “Always hold on to what you love”. We all have been ragged by our seniors and if your senior is Yuvraj Singh, there’s no escape. Rohit’s caption was more than enough for a lighthearted Yuvraj Singh to roast his comrade.

Always hold on to what you love ❤️

Rohit couldn’t have imagined that a romantic and warm statement would be given such a humorous twist, nevertheless, it was heartening to see some harmless leg-pulling between two great companions off the field.

Yuvraj and Rohit are known to share great camaraderie since the days of the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007 that India won under MS Dhoni’s leadership. Back then, Rohit was rising up the ranks and was trying to secure a permanent berth for himself in the team whereas Yuvraj was already an established name of the Indian middle-order.

Apart from his friendship with Rohit, Yuvraj shares a great bond with Rohit’s better-half Ritika. The Mumbai-born cricketer once revealed that Ritika even ties Rakhi to Yuvraj.

The World Cup-winning all-rounder immediately came up with a hysterical response as he commented, “I love your cheeks can I hold on to them”, leaving one and all in splits. This was not the first instance where the Chandigarh-born southpaw, known for his blithe attitude and mischievous style, trolled someone on social media. The 38-year-old loves getting fun at the expense of his teammates.
