Virat Kohli has been a household name in Indian cricket. Everything he does in the field or out of the field instantly becomes breaking news for the nation. Ever since he became the captain of the team, first in Tests during 2014 followed by the limited overs captaincy in 2017, he has been at the helm of all affairs.

The Indian skipper got married to his girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma last year. He reflected on how the journey with his wife had been so far. He highlighted how influential she had been in his career. He further spoke about his future plans with respect to personal life.

My wife is a spiritual person and I have sort of drifted in that path as well

Virat Kohli in his younger days was known to be the aggressive kind. While there is still aggression in him, he has toned it down to a great extent. He feels that his wife Anushka Sharma has played a huge hand in making her this way. He further feels that it was always written in his destiny to do all this.

“I have realised a lot of things in the past few years since I’ve been with my wife. Because she is a very spiritual person and I have sort of drifted on that path as well. Now things are unlocking in a way that is very difficult for me to explain to people. But I understand that I was always meant to do this. If I am meant to do this in every lifetime of mine, I will do it 100 times over. It’s a blessing.” He was quoted as saying by ESPN.

I want no part of my career being flashed into my house

Kohli realizes that it all has to come to an end one day. He knew that the fame will remain till he’s excelling in the field. Getting more candid, he told that when he has kids, he will give them all his time. He further asserted that he didn’t want any of his trophies or achievements being bestowed in the house as his children grow up.

“The fame will end one day. I have a life. I have a family. I will have kids. They deserve all my time. That is something that is very, very clear and close to my heart. I want no part of my career being flashed into my house. I want no part of my trophies, my achievements, nothing in my house when our kids are growing up,” he told according to ESPN.
