India A squad announced- Unmukt Chand to lead in tri-series, Rayudu against South Africa A: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the India A squad for the tri-series against Australia A and South Africa A. The U-19 world cup winning skipper, Delhi-lad Unmukt Chand has been picked as the skipper of the India A team for the tri-series. While Indian middle order batsman Ambati Rayudu has been commanded as the captain of the India A team against South Africa A for the 2 match unofficial Test series.

The tri-series will be an opportunity for youngsters like Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Sanju Samson, Rush Kalaria, Mandeep Singh, Gurkeerat Singh Mann to showcase their talent against top class opponents, and to get into the reckons after impressing the selectors with their domestic and T20 league performances.

Rishi Dhawan the 25-years-old Himachal Pradesh all-rounder would love to make it count as well, since the seam bowling all-rounder’s position in the Indian team has always been vacant. If he is able to leave a mark in the tri-series the India call would not be far.

Skipper Unmukt Chand will also like to perform, since he is gradually sneaking into the category of the talented, yet inconsistent players. Axar Patel and Parvez Rasool along with Karn Sharma will also have an eye on them.

The unofficial Test series gives names like Ambati Rayudu, Abhinav Mukund, Abhimanyu Mithun, Ishwar Pandey another chance to get themselves in the list of Test ready players.

The tri-series will be played in Chennai between August 5 and August 14, all the games will be hosted at the same venue. Whereas the 2-match unofficial Test series against South Africa A will start 3 days after the conclusion of the tri-series on August 18 in Wayanad, Kerala.
