India taking Bangladesh Seriously, Says Suresh Raina: Suresh Raina, the player who captained the Indian side in their Bangladesh tour in 2014 said that the present Indian team is not taking Bangladesh lightly for the three-match ODI series that starts from 18^th June.

India also played a 3-match ODI series back in 2014 where they won 2-0 with a relatively inexperienced squad, by opting to rest their frontline squad in the series.

However, the visitors will play with their full strengths in the current ODI series, with regular skipper Dhoni will be leading the troops.

This time, despite of the fact that Indian players have had a hectic cricketing schedule of late, touring Australia, followed by the World Cup which was closely followed by the Indian Premier League (IPL) back home, BCCI has opted to send their best squad to Bangladesh.

Also, the Indian team was seen practicing and training rigorously in the sessions at Mirpur on Tuesday at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium.

The left handed batting all-rounder said, “You’ve seen that after the IPL, the full Test team came and now the full ODI team has come. Bangladesh have done well in ODIs recently and this shows how important a series this is for us.”

Bangladesh does possess some emerging talents in the likes of Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das and others in their squad and are expected to play big against the Indians. The Bangladeshi pacer, Taskin Ahmed made his career best performances against India in the last series between the two nations, taking a fifer in a match.

Raina praised the current prospects of the Bangladeshi team and said that they do possess the capability to hit hard on any opposition and they have a talented bunch of cricketers in the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafe Mortaza, Rubel Hossain, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim and others who can win games in quite a single handed fashion for them.

The 27-year old left handed batsman said that they are looking forward to a good ODI series and would like to win it. Raina even stated that, “They have played very well. We will look to enjoy the game. We are here to win so hopefully we will look to win all the games.”
