<p>He got starts in every game but failed to convert them into big ones. He has notched up 126 runs at an average of 25.20 with 60 being the highest. A better application with a sorted shot making decision will help him break the jinx in the coming times.</p>

<p>He notched up his 23rd century in this series, but Virat Kohli couldn’t lift India to a series victory against South Africa. He scored 245 runs at a healthy average of 49 with a match winning 138 as his best. The Indian Test skipper couldn’t save India from the blushes, as the visitors clinched the decider.</p>

<p>The middle order batsman has improved a lot in the past 18 months. Rahane notched up 247 runs with 3 fifties to his credit. His temperament is promising and India will need him to fire in the coming tours.</p>
<h4><strong>Suresh Raina 3/10:</strong></h4>

<p>The Indian southpaw had a disappointing series. He went out during crucial stages as India had to bite the bullet. He scored 68 runs at an average of 13.60 with 2 ducks to his name.</p>
<h4><strong>MS Dhoni 7/10:</strong></h4>

<p>The Indian skipper had to face a lot of heat and more importantly he had no answers to the young sensation named Rabada. Dhoni scored 202 runs at an average of 67.33 with a best of 92*. Some say the blade has caught the rust, time will draw a fair curtain on this Midas man.</p>

<p>The Indian leggie played 4 games in this series picking up 4 wickets at an average of 54.50. He bowled 40 overs giving away 218 runs. Certainly India’s spinners have let the team down and “Mishi” is no exception.</p>

<p>India needed the man in form to strike for the hosts, But Ashwin’s injury didn’t help matters much He played the 1<sup>st</sup> ODI and picked up 1 wicket for 14 runs.</p>
<h4><strong>Harbhajan Singh 6/10:</strong></h4>

<p>The veteran off-spinner was more of a hit and miss throughout the series. He picked up 6 wickets at an average of 35.33. The “turbunator” will not be pleased with his performance, as he failed to use the conditions to his advantage.</p>
<h4><strong>Bhuvneshwar Kumar 5/10:</strong></h4>

<p>He played all 5 games and picked up 7 wickets at an average of 49.57. Kumar was expensive throughout the series and the death bowling woes didn’t help matters either.</p>
<h4><strong>Axar Patel 5/10:</strong></h4>

<p>The youngster took 5 wickets for 195 runs. Axar Patel tried turning the tables in his favour but South Africa got hold of the young talent and exploited him in the final.</p>
<h4><strong>Umesh Yadav 3/10:</strong></h4>

<p>The Indian pacer has been a flop throughout the series. The length has been wary while the line has been notorious. Umesh picked up 3 wickets giving away 123 runs in the two games he played.</p>
