David Miller is yet another case of a complete miscalculation from the franchise in terms of using their RTM cards. He had won them the matches in the earlier seasons which prompted Virender Sehwag and Preity Zinta to go for him even this time around for Rs 3 Crores. But in the limited opportunities which he received, he failed to deliver and with Chris Gayle waiting in the wings, it was imperative for him to hit the straps soon.

In a couple of matches, he scored 50 runs and remained unbeaten in one of those knocks. But both his knocks were a drag as he couldn’t hit boundaries at will which is his strength. Miller was dropped once as well when he managed to attain his best score of 26 for this season. It looks highly unlikely now that he will play anymore at least this year in the IPL as KXIP seems to have found the match-winning formula even without him.
