There is a great connection between cricket and cinema in India. The movie industry and cricket are extremely popular in the country and we often see fans adore the heroes in these two fields. Fans show a lot of respect and love for the personalities from these two fields and they are literally worshipped in the country.
But, at the same time, it is very interesting to see the mutual admiration the personalities from these fields share for each other. Very often, we see cricketers and Bollywood actors meeting at various events and expressing their love for each other. Actors too, come to the stadiums to watch the cricket games and relax from their hectic schedules. So was the case in the qualifier game in between the Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Ranveer Singh expresses his love for MSD
Top Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is also working on the biopic of the legendary Kapil Dev currently graced his presence at the Wankhede stadium. Ranveer was seen cheering the Chennai Super Kings from the stands during the game.
The Padmaavat actor is a great fan of former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. During the match, he recorded a small video analysing the match situation and was all praise for MSD. It was a truly ‘Khalibali ho gaya hai dil’ moment for Ranveer to see his favourite cricketer play. He termed MS as his hero and called him his jaan. Ranveer couldn’t resist himself from praising MS Dhoni’s captaincy tactics.
“I came here today to see my hero, my jaan (meaning heart) MS. Lion in action! He captained absolutely impeccably as always and got them out for a really low score. But, CSK in a spot of bother but still in with the best. Hoping for a fight. Whistle Podu. Come on!,” Ranveer Singh said about MS Dhoni and CSK.
