Last year, around this time quite a few cricketers took up ‘Break the Beard’ challenge, where they trim their beard and go for a cleaner look. In the last season players like Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja got rid of their beard. This season the challenge has made a comeback and quite a few cricketers have participated in it.

The trend was revived this season by Shikhar Dhawan and Ravindra Jadeja when they shared their trimmed looks on social media. The others picked it from here and fans got a chance to see their favorite cricketers in a new look.

The Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who is famous for his mustache, posted his picture with the new look on the Instagram. The left-handed batsman who is also known as ‘Gabbar said “Here is something new for my fans, from my fans!”‘

Change in looks after ‘Break the Beard’ challenge

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja did not want to be left behind and he also shared his new look. He started his post by praising the look of Shikhar Dhawan and mentioned that he is posting this new look for CSK fans.

This challenge was mostly taken up by Indian stars, but SRH captain Kane Williamson broke the trend as he shared his new trimmed look and wrote that “#BreakTheBeard goes international”.

Another Indian star, Manish Pandey did not want to miss out on the opportunity to try something new. The right-handed batsman posted the picture of his new look,  saying that he does not like to overthink as it is a waste of time.

Pandya brothers joined the party

Hardik Pandya is famous for his stylish looks, he was part of this trend last year, but this time his elder brother Krunal Pandya took the challenge first. He wrote that he feels lucky to have such devoted fans and thanked them for their support as he posted his picture.

Well. Hardik Pandya could not miss out on this opportunity and he posted his new look and termed it as a ‘finishing move’.
