Former Indian First Class cricketer Subhadeep Ghosh is all set to join the Delhi Daredevils camp for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The IPL 2018 promises to be a bigger and a better affair than the previous editions of the tournament. Team Delhi is in no mood to take things lightly this time around. Over the last few years, they have had a struggling time in the tournament.

It is only a matter of utter disappointment for the Delhi Daredevils camp that they are yet to have a dream season in the history of the tournament. With the 2018 edition coming up, the new opportunities are bound to soar in for the DD side. Hence, they were seen coming in to the IPL 2018 auctions with some serious intent.

It was interesting to see how they were keen on roping in a stable head who could lead their side in the competition. They bagged the veteran cricketer Gautam Gambhir at the auctions. Soon, the reports surfaced that Gambhir is likely to be the captain of the side for the upcoming edition. Prior to this announcement, the team had also announce a new head coach.

Former Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting joined the Delhi Daredevils roster as the new head coach. While Gambhir has tasted success as a captain in the Indian Premier League history, Ricky Ponting has also had his share of success as the coach and mentor of the Mumbai Indians a season ago.

Now, the Delhi think tank has made a couple of new announcements about their support staff. After naming the new bowling coach of the Delhi Daredevils, the announcement about the fielding coach has come in next. Former Indian First Class cricketer Subhadeep Ghosh is set to be the fielding coach of the team.

During his playing days, Subhadeep Ghosh played 17 First Class matches and 17 List A matches for Assam and Railways. He was a right handed batsman who was fondly known as Joy by his teammates.

Here is how the Delhi Daredevils welcomed Subhadeep Ghosh:

“Join us in welcoming Subhadeep Ghosh, our Fielding Coach for the season. #DilDilli,” the official Twitter handle of Delhi Daredevils tweeted.
