A rain-curtailed match always calls for good performances in all three departments of the game for a team to win the game, since overs getting reduced always has the chance of heaping pressure on the teams. The team that’s able to handle the pressure better most often emerges as the winner. Unfortunately for the Rajasthan Royals, the pressure got the better of them against the Delhi Daredevils (DD).

Batting first, DD got good knocks from the young trio of Shreyas Iyer-Rishabh Pant-Prithvi Shaw that took them to 196 runs. Chasing the mammoth total, the RR middle-order was unable to consolidate on the start provided by D Arcy Short (44) and Jos Buttler (67). The abject failure of the RR middle order with 3 single-digit scores from the likes of Sanju Samson and Ben Stokes took the game away from them.
