It has been a tough week for Hardik Pandya, who had to digest the loss of Mumbai Indians and also swallow some other bitter pills, like the incident which injured Ishan Kishan. Unintentionally, but it Pandya’s throw which took an awkward bounce and injured the young talent Ishan Kishan’s eye, which looked quite disastrous at that point.

Kishan’s eye was all bruised and Pandya later came up with an apology on Twitter. Nevertheless, Pandya once again managed to take another individual out of the equation during the game between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur. This game will be remembered for Krishnappa Goutham’s incredible assault, but Pandya too provided a scary moment.

In the first innings, Jofra Archer was bowling to the younger one of the Pandya brothers. He absolutely creamed the ball straight down the ground and the umpire Rod Tucker had to be very agile to get away from the ball. Rod Tucker was on the ground protecting himself was all smiles as nothing bad happened. But one has to accept that it was pretty close.

Here’s the video of that incident, which will make you go ROFL!

Mumbai Indians suffer yet another defeat

This has been a catastrophic season thus far for the Mumbai Indians, who managed to lose 4 out of their first five games. Rohit Sharma and his troops seem to lack enough confidence at this point of time despite having enough firepower in their arsenal. They were in contention for a score above 200, but Jofra Archer’s exceptional spell denied them that opportunity.

With the ball, they managed to pull off a better performance. They were tight with their lines and gave nothing away to the batsmen. Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes stitched a valuable partnership for the 3rd wicket, but both players fell in quick succession and pushed their side into further trouble.

Krishnappa Goutham nevertheless had other ideas and scripted a fantastic turnaround. His 11-ball 33 proved to be the game-changer and the Rajasthan supporters in Jaipur went absolutely berserk. Mumbai currently are 7th on the points table and they need something miraculous to send them to the playoffs.
