CSK needed 30 runs off the last 2 overs, one of which had to be bowled by Jofra Archer. He conceded just 12 runs off his over, putting RR far ahead of the visitors. Everyone had anticipated Dhawal Kulkarni to bowl the final over. He had given just 14 runs off his 3 overs that day and seemed to be the best option.

But Ajinkya Rahane had some other plans. He allotted that over to Ben Stokes, who was having yet another tough day at the office. Stokes was given a chance at redemption but he couldn’t get the better of Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni. To make things worse, the England all-rounder also bowled a no-ball to make the equation an easy one for the opposition as RR ended up losing the game.
