High-flying Delhi Capitals (DC) will be looking to take another step towards their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) final appearance when they lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator at the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. It will be a winner takes all clash as the team which will win the match will take on Chennai Super Kings in the second Qualifier while the losing team will have to wave goodbye.

DC enter the game on the back of an impressive showing in the league stage. Along with CSK and Mumbai Indians, Delhi also won nine games but could not make it to the top two due to a poor net run-rate. With momentum on their side, Delhi will fancy their chances against Sunrisers who are showing uncharacteristic inconsistency this year. In fact, SRH made it to the playoffs with a slice of luck as their net run-rate was better than Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab while all the three teams had just 12 points.

For Delhi, it will be not very unfamiliar territory but will definitely be an unusual one. The national capital-based outfit had last progressed ahead of the group stage way back in 2012. During this period, they finished with the wooden spoon more often than not. On the other hand, Sunrisers have been one of the most consistent teams in recent years, having made it to the playoffs in the last three editions. However, their current form has been dicey and Delhi should fancy their chances.

With so much at stake in this game, both the teams will be delighted to know that there would be no natural interruption as there is no prediction of rain in Visakhapatnam. According to AccuWeather, there is a zero percent chance of rain although the cloud coverage will be between 35-40% during the game. As expected, the humidity will be on the higher side and will range between 78-82% while the dew will be around 27%. The temperature will be around 31-degree Celsius.
