We are at the business end of the IPL. With the race for the playoffs becoming more intense with each passing day, Rajasthan Royals will battle it out with Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 54.

Rajasthan Royals will be hoping for a thumping victory to boost their chances of qualification. The fact that they weren’t sure of their batting line-up for more than half of the tournament is one of the primary seasons they find themselves in this precarious situation. Add to that, Jofra Archer has been the sole impact bowler for them. Despite these flaws, they can still qualify if they manage to put in a complete team performance in this game.

KKR have more or less had the same fate as RR. They too haven’t managed to identify a settled batting unit, and their star bowlers, Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine haven’t managed to pick too many wickets. They have been unlucky with the injury of Andre Russell, but the rest of the players haven’t played to their potential as well. All the stars will look to come together to provide the final flourish for KKR.

In the presence of several top players in this game, here are 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for KKR vs RR game:

1. Sunil Narine (9.5 credits)

The all rounder from Trinidad hasn’t had the impact he would have liked, with bat or ball. He has managed to score just 121 runs and pick 5 wickets. He has gone from being an opener to be a floater for KKR, and barring the game against DC, hasn’t found much success. Since coming back with his remodelled action, Narine has also seemed to become extremely ineffective with the ball. He is still maintaining a decent economy but wickets, which bring majority points in fantasy cricket, have been missing. Hence, you can exclude Narine from your Dream11 team.

2.Pat Cummins (8.5 credits)

Pat Cummins has failed to live up not only to his price tag, but also his reputation. Even if we keep aside the amount spent on him, Cummins has had a pretty mediocre season according to his standards. He has been able to pick only 8 wickets despite being KKR’s top bowler. He has bowled at an economy of around 7.8, but has just not been penetrative enough to pick wickets. With RR possessing a strong top order, and Cummins bowling out most of his overs in the powerplay, it is unlikely he will be able to do much in this game too.

3.Jos Buttler (9 credits)

Jos Buttler is one of the best T20 players going around. He is perhaps at his best when opening the innings. But due to RR’s team composition, Buttler has been pushed to number 5 in the last few games. While he has done well at that position too, it has also reasonably decreased his chances of getting a big score. Add to that, Stokes and Samson have been in top form and will end up playing most of the deliveries. Hence, you can exclude Buttler purely because the probability of him getting enough deliveries is low.
