The Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to kick-start the much-awaited 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) from September 19. The tournament was originally scheduled to commence from March 29 but was delayed and has now been moved out of the country in the view of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The 60-match T20 extravaganza will be played across three venues namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with the final to take place on November 10.

With the 2020 edition of the cash-rich league just a few days away, all the players are sweating it out in the heat of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to prepare themselves for facing the field after this pandemic-induced break. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is not behind and various clips of CSK’s camp in UAE had gotten viral on social media. Veteran Indian cricketer MS, who retired from international cricket on August 15, is arguably one of the most popular faces in the Indian cricket.

On Thursday (September 17), a video of Dhoni batting in the Chennai Super Kings camp started surfacing on social networking sites. The video has been creating a lot of buzz as MS can be seen playing his signature ‘Helicopter Shot’. The former Indian skipper is renowned for the shot that is a flick of the wrists with all the power generated from the bottom hand.

CSK to win the fourth IPL title?

The Chennai-based franchise is the most successful team in the history of the Indian T20 league. It is the only team to have qualified for the playoffs in all 10 editions of the league it has played and has also managed to register the victory in the T20 Championship in 2010, 2011, and 2018. The Yellow Army will begin its IPL campaign with a fixture against defending champions Mumbai Indians on September 19 at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Though the team would be looking forward to claim their fourth T20 title in the upcoming edition, it is bound to face some challenges in the absence of their star batsman Suresh Raina and veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh. Both had pulled their names out of the league citing personal reasons.
