Pretty much like Vishnu’s ability to hit six sixes in an over, there is another batsman in the DC squad who possesses the same ability. Meet Lalit Yadav, a batsman who has smashed six sixes in an over twice. Yes, you have read that right. He did it in a T20 match at the Najafgarh Sports Complex. During that innings, he smashed 130 runs in 46 balls.

In that knock, he smashed 13 sixes and nine fours. Before this inning, he had scored six sixes in an over during the DDCA T20 league at the Kotla. It was just a matter of time before Lalit was drafted into the first-class side. On his debut, he scored 52 against Maharashtra in 2017. He is a consistent performer too, as, in his first four innings, Lalit scored three half-centuries.

But unfortunately, there are limited slots available for the lesser-known faces. With the absence of Iyer, Pant might give chance to a senior player like Ajinkya Rahane. However, Lalit could be used if some senior players fail to leave a mark during the tournament. If he performs well, Pant should see Lalit as the future of DC.
