Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) dismal run in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) continued. The team, captained by David Warner, lost their third match in a row after going down to the Mumbai Indians (MI) by 13 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Moreover, the Orange Army remained winless at the Chepauk and has failed in all three games while batting second. After being put in to bowl first, SRH restricted MI to 150 for five in 20 overs. In the run-chase, Warner and Jonny Bairstow took their team off to a flier.

But a flurry of wickets kept pushing SRH back and in the end, they fell short. As far as Rohit Sharma’s men are concerned, they have now managed to topple the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to the top of the points table in the T20 league.

Here are the MI Player Ratings for the MI vs SRH match:

Quinton de Kock- 8/10

Quinton de Kock didn’t play the booming strokes, but he made sure of ticking the scoreboard. The southpaw scored 40 runs off 39 balls with five fours before Mujeeb Ur Rahman dismissed him.

Rohit Sharma- 7/10

Rohit Sharma was attacking in his strokeplay as he upped the ante right from the word go. With the help of two fours and as many sixes, the MI skipper made a 25-ball 32 after which Vijay Shankar removed him.

Suryakumar Yadav- 3/10

Suryakumar Yadav started his knock with a six and a four each and was looking good for a substantial knock. But Shankar accounted for his wicket to push the Mumbai team further on the backfoot.

Ishan Kishan- 2/10

Ishan Kishan had a horrendous day with the bat in hand. The left-hander toiled hard for 21 balls and could only score 12 runs at a strike rate of 57.14. It was Mujeeb, who brought his misery to an end.

Kieron Pollard- 9/10

Kieron Pollard’s knock turned out to be a crucial one in the context of the game. In the last two balls, he hit two sixes and made sure that MI reach a respectable score. He made 35 off 22 with one four and three sixes.

Hardik Pandya- 7/10

Hardik Pandya didn’t have much to do with the bat in hand as he stayed unbeaten on seven with one four. But on the field, he churned out two game-changing direct hits to remove David Warner and Abdul Samad in critical situations.

Krunal Pandya- 6/10

Krunal Pandya was among the more expensive bowler for MI on the day. In three overs, the left-arm spinner leaked 30 runs at an economy rate of 10. He got the wicket of Jonny Bairstow, though through a hit-wicket.

Adam Milne- 3/10

Adam Milne faced the wrath of Bairstow early on and he turned out to be the most expensive bowler for the Mumbai-based team. In three overs, the right-arm fast bowler went for 33 runs.

Rahul Chahar- 9.5/10

Rahul Chahar was the standout bowler for MI as he picked up three important wickets of Manish Pandey, Virat Singh and Abhishek Sharma. In four overs, the leg-spinner gave away a mere 19 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah- 9/10

Jasprit Bumrah picked up the vital wicket of Vijay Shankar, who got a 25-ball 28. In his four overs, the speedster gave only 14 runs at an economy rate of 3.50. Moreover, he also went on to bowl as many as 12 dot balls.

Trent Boult- 8.5/10

Trent Boult leaked 18 runs in one of his overs while bowling to Bairstow. But apart from that, he was outstanding. The left-armer brushed off the SRH tail, picked up three wickets and conceded 28 runs in 3.4 overs.
