The Mumbai Indians will be up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 65 of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MI would be heading into this contest after a five-wicket win over their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings at the same venue. With them being officially out of the playoffs race, the five-time winners would now look to sign off by winning both their remaining fixtures, playing a fearless brand of cricket.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians ended CSK’s title reign with a win against them in the last game and they would now like to a play spoilsport to SRH’s chances as well, as one more loss would bring curtains down on SRH’s IPL 2022 campaign too. At the same time, Mumbai will look to field the same playing XI for this contest as well.

Here’s a look at the Mumbai Indians’ predicted playing XI against Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Openers: Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan

In the last match, skipper Rohit Sharma got out after getting a good start, scoring 18 runs from 14 deliveries while chasing 98 against CSK. With just two more matches left, the Hitman would wish to play some big knocks and finish his campaign on a high.

On the other hand, Ishan Kishan would also be eager to sign off this campaign on a positive note having managed just three half-centuries so far despite being bought for a phenomenal price tag at the two-day mega auction earlier this year. He made just six runs against Chennai Super Kings.

Middle-Order: Tilak Varma, Tim David and Tristan Stubbs

Tilak Varma has been Mumbai’s new-found talent and one of the emerging batters in the ongoing season. He has won MI a few matches with his exceptional performances including the one against CSK in the last game where he scored an unbeaten 34. Tim David, who had warmed the bench on most occasions, has also turned out to be one of Mumbai Indians’ vital performers with the bat. He played a supporting knock of an unbeaten seven-ball 16 in an easy chase after MI had lost half their side.

Meanwhile, Tristan Stubbs scored a silver duck in the last game and would now look to go berserk when he faces the Hyderabad bowling attack in the upcoming game.

All-Rounders: Ramandeep Singh and Hrithik Shokeen

With the seasoned Kieron Pollard rested, the onus will be on Ramandeep Singh and Hrithik Shokeen to take care of the all-round responsibilities. Ramandeep is relatively inexperienced and in the three matches that he has played so far, the uncapped player has managed to score 18 runs and has taken one wicket.

On the other hand, Hrithik Shokeen has scored 43 runs and taken two wickets from four outings and he would be hoping to add a few more scalps to his tally in the remaining fixtures.

Bowlers: Daniel Sams, Kumar Kartikeya, Jasprit Bumrah and Riley Meredith

Daniel Sams was adjudged the Player of the Match for his match-winning figures of 3/16 against CSK. He would like to make the ball do the talking in the same manner in Mumbai’s remaining fixtures. Kumar Kartikeya’s 2/22 played a crucial role in choking the Chennai Super Kings in the last game.

Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah who was struggling in the initial few matches has made a sudden jump in the wickets tally with a fifer against the Kolkata Knight Riders. He might have picked up only one wicket in the last game but would be eager to add a few more in the wickets column against the Orange Army.

The Australian pacer, Riley Meredith, took 2/27 as the Chennai Super Kings completely lost the plot on a tough Wankhede wicket and eventually their title defence came to an end in the last game.

Mumbai Indians predicted playing XI for the SRH clash: Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (w), Tilak Varma, Tristan Stubbs, Ramandeep Singh, Tim David, Daniel Sams, Kumar Kartikeya, Hrithik Shokeen, Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith.
