Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain and Indian batter Virat Kohli is an active social media user and frequently shares his thoughts and inspirational messages with his fans on micro-blogging sites. The 33-year-old recently uploaded a still image of himself doing batting drills in the nets.

To note, the Red Army suffered a defeat at the hands of the defending champions Chennai Super Kings. RCB will next take on the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) in their next encounter in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 to be played on April 16 (Saturday).

Kohli can be seen aiming at a shot in focus

The former RCB skipper shared a picture on Instagram wearing the new RCB jersey and wrote, “If you’re immersed in the joy of doing what you love, everything else is irrelevant.” In the picture, the right-handed batter can be seen aiming at a shot in focus and warming up before the next encounter.

Kohli has been performing well for his side in the current edition of the IPL. The right-handed batter has made two 40+ scores in five matches and played a crucial role for his side during their encounter against the five-time champions MI. However, Kohli (1 off 3 balls) failed to get going against the defending champions CSK in RCB’s last match. The fans are yet to see the best of Kohli in IPL 2022 and he might showcase his talent against the Capitals.

The Red Army will want to win their next encounter against the strong-looking Capitals. To note, skipper Faf du Plessis, after scoring a fifty in the first match, has not been able to perform as well. The South African batter will also want to contribute with the bat.

Talking about the overall numbers of Kohli in the IPL, the senior batter has played 212 matches in which he has amassed a total of 6390 runs. The 33-year-old has an average of 37.15 and a strike rate of 129.98 in the toughest franchise-based league. He has stroked 42 half-centuries and has five hundreds in IPL history.
