In India, the festive season is around and on the occasion of Dhanteras Mumbai Indians owner Mukesh Ambani hosted a pre-Diwali bash at Jio World Centre. And the pictures of their Diwali celebration went viral on Twitter in few hours. The event was attended by Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Zaheer Khan along with their head coach Mahela Jayawardena and other players.

Mumbai Indians is one of the most successful teams in IPL’s last 12 seasons. They have won this league for as many as four times in its history. In 2018-19 season, Mumbai defeated Dhoni-led CSK in order to grab their fourth title.

Jasprit Bumrah absent from Mumbai Indians pre-Diwali celebration picture

Mumbai Indians took to their official Twitter handle and posted a picture which had a majority of their team players, support-staff members and its owners. But one thing that caught everyone’s eyes was Jasprit Bumrah’s absence from the picture. And a fan trolled the Mumbai Indians for the same reason,

Bumrah recently sustained a back injury because of which he was not picked against South Africa and is not available for the upcoming series against Bangladesh as well. He underwent surgery and is currently undergoing rehabilitation which has kept him away from cricket associated activities. And this can be a major reason behind his absence from Mumbai Indian’s Diwali celebration event.

Here’s Mumbai Indians’ tweet:

After watching the picture, a fan replied to Mumbai Indians post and asked a question, ” Where is Bumrah” taking a dig over the pacer’s omission. He asked if Bumrah is changing his IPL team to Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore, and wrote, “Where is Bumrah? I think he is changing to RCB?”

Here is the fan reaction:

In a reply to the fan, MI official on Twitter reverted back with a GIF in which Rohit Sharma is asking the fans to just “stay calm”.
