It is no news that fitness has become an integral part in Team India’s scheme of things. It is so important now that the fitness of a cricketer can be a deciding factor in the selection. Apart from the fitness drills, Yo-Yo Test, the Indian team makes sure that they toil it out in the gym. Skipper Virat Kohli started this trend, and his fitness levels have encouraged others to be as concerned about their physique and fitness too.

Kohli frequently shows off it his fitness regimes and the weightlifting in the gym and also his fit body. But recently, it was Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who showed off his abs and shared a shirtless photo on Instagram with the caption that read, “It takes dedication and hard work to consistently improve yourself.”

After Bumrah, all-rounder Hardik Pandya too flaunted his body in a picture shared by Yuvraj Singh on his social media. Yuvi shared the picture on Instagram and wrote, “Get up get up and #doitagain @jaspritb1 @hardikpandya93 @yuzi_chahal23 @kedarjadhavofficial @dk00019 @akshar.patel”.

In the picture shared by Yuvraj Singh, other than Yuvi, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik and Yuzvendra Chahal can also be seen in the photograph. It was clicked at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

To keep the fitness culture intact, the fact that Indian cricketers will now undergo DNA tests that reveal the genetic fitness blueprint of an individual, raising the bar to a level hitherto unseen, hit the news. As reported by The Hindu, the test helps a sportsman improve his speed, fat burning, endurance, recovery time, and muscle building. It has been learnt that the BCCI has introduced this test on the recommendation of team trainer Shankar Basu so that a more comprehensive fitness programme for the national team can be chalked out.
