Former Indian captain Kapil Dev is one of the most generous human beings. Apart from being one of the greatest Indian captains and the all-rounders to grace the gentlemen’s game, Kapil has another side too. He is also known for his compassion and empathy towards other human beings.

One of the biggest examples of the same was shared by the renowned cricket author Vijay Lokapally. Vijay took to his official Twitter handle to share a heart-warming indecent featuring the former Indian captain. The cricket author revealed that his friend was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad and was fighting with coronavirus.

To boost the spirits of his friend, Vijay requested Kapil Dev to share a motivational video message and the cricketer obliged to his request. The message from his favourite cricketer acted as a life-saver for the fan as he successfully defeated the deadly virus and returned home from the hospital.

“My dear friend Sridhar Ramaraju was battling Covid in a Hyderabad hospital. I requested his hero @therealkapildev to please share an encouraging video message. Seeing the message, Sridhar literally jumped out of the bed. Sridhar came home last night. Kapil da jawaab nahi” Vijay Lokapally tweeted.

It is his greatness, Vijay Lokapally lauds Kapil Dev

When a Twitter user lauded Vijay for his thoughtfulness, he gave all the credit to Kapil Dev for saving the life of his friend. “Only you can be as thoughtful sir :)” a Twitterati wrote. To this, Vijay answered, “No Meera. It is Kapil Dev’s greatness and we all know he is such a large-hearted man. He lost no time in sending me the beautiful video. I would say LIFE-SAVING video.
