Karun Nair, the Indian batter, is all set to embrace fatherhood with his wife Sanaya Takariwala. As per his latest Instagram post, the baby is set to be born around five months later in January 2022. Back in 2019, Nair got engaged to his long-term girlfriend. He had uploaded a picture where Sanaya was seen, planting a kiss on his cheeks with a scenic backdrop adding to the picture’s beauty.

Back in January 2020, Nair tied the knots with Takariwala in Udaipur. Varun Aaron, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur and Yuzvendra Chahal were the ones, who attended the marriage ceremony. In one of the pictures shared from his marriage, Ajinkya Rahane, India’s Test vice-captain, was spotted along with his wife Radhika Dhopavkar and their little daughter.

As far as Sanaya’s pregnancy is concerned, Nair uploaded a picture when both he and his wife were seen embracing each other. In the picture, Sanaya was also seen, holding a couple of photos of sonography showing the foetus.

He captioned the picture and wrote, “Our hearts are so full, and we can’t wait to hold you Arriving Jan 2022,”

Thereafter, the cricket fraternity lauded him on the wonderful piece of news. KL Rahul, who plays with Nair for Karnataka in the Indian domestic circuit, congratulated him. Rahul replied to Nair and wrote, “Congratulations to both of you,”

Hanuma Vihari, the Indian batsman, also sent his warm words for Nair. Vihari replied to Nair and wrote, “Congratulations to both of you Karun,”

Nair’s topsy-turvy career

Nair made his Test debut for Team India back in November 2016, and later he also became the second Indian after Virender Sehwag to notch a triple ton in the format against England. However, after March 2017, he lost his place from the team following the home Test series against Australia.

He made a brief comeback into the national squad in 2018 but lost his place without even getting a game. Nair has also strained to hold on to his spot in the Indian Premier League playing elevens. At the age of 29, Nair remains an important member of the Karnataka domestic team.
