After DC vs MI and SRH vs RR game, Mumbai Indians have jumped to the top of the points table.

Match no. 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 took place between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi. The contest between the two table toppers was the much-awaited contest, and defending champions stole the limelight. Chasing 163, MI won the thriller by five wickets and two balls to spare. Batting first, DC posted a decent score on the board, and Shikhar Dhawan got back his lost rhythm. He played an unbeaten knock of 69 off 52.

Quinton de Kock was named the player of the match for his stunning innings during Mumbai’s chase. DC skipper Shreyas Iyer added his essential 42 off 33 in the team’s overall score. Krunal Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah handled the ball well as they conceded 26 runs each in their four overs. Krunal dismissed two batters during his spell. Young Rahul Chahar got one wicket as well.

Suryakumar Yadav and De Kock lead MI home

Hunting down the target, Suryakumar Yadav and De Kock set the tone for Mumbai as they scored 53 off 32 and 53 off 36 respectively. Krunal Pandya’s quickfire 12 runs in seven balls at the end finished things for MI in style. Kagiso Rabada displayed the best bowling show from Delhi as he conceded just 28 runs in his spell to pick two wickets.

Who has Orange and Purple cap?

After DC vs MI and SRH vs RR game, Mumbai Indians have jumped to the top of the points table. Next in line are Delhi Capitals at 2nd spot. The 3rd and 4th positions are held by Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

KL Rahul continues to keep the orange cap with him after having 387 runs under his belt in IPL 2020. Second in the race of Orange cap is Mayank Agarwal with 337 runs. 3rd and 4th spots have Faf du Plessis and David Warner, respectively.

The purple cap is owned by Kagiso Rabada. Currently, he has 17 wickets to his name in IPL 2020. Next in line are Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah with 11 wickets each while Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami have 10 wickets each in their account.
