Preview
In the 14th match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, Australia (AUS) is set to face Ireland (IRE). Australia have not enjoyed the same level of success in the T20 format as they have in other formats of the game. To date, they have won the title once and finished runners-up on one occasion. Since lifting the trophy in 2021, Australia have failed to qualify for the semi-finals in the last two editions. Under the leadership of Mitchell Marsh, however, they will be keen to deliver a strong performance in this tournament.
On the other hand, Ireland did get a good start to the tournament as they lost the previous match by 20 runs against Sri Lanka. Despite the defeat, Harry Tector stood out with a solid knock of 40 runs. In the bowling department, Barry McCarthy and George Dockrell were impressive, picking up two wickets each.
