Preview

In Eliminator 1 match of‌ PSL 2026, Multan Sultans (MUL) will take on Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYK). Multan Sultans have had a stellar season, winning 6 out of 10 matches and finishing third in the group stage points table. Here, they will definitely try their best to reach Eliminator 2 by getting a win against Hyderabad. However, their performance in the last two matches has not been good, and they have faced defeat.

In the last match, Multan had to face defeat by four wickets against Islamabad United. While batting first, Multan scored 192 runs, which Islamabad chased down easily in 18.4 overs. However, Shan Masood played a brilliant innings for Multan, scoring 44 runs in 33 balls. Apart from him, Arafat Minhas also helped the team to cross 190 by scoring 31 runs in 19 balls. But some shortcomings were seen in Multan's bowling. Despite taking early wickets, they could not put pressure on Islamabad. Faizal Akram was the standout performer, taking wickets in four overs.

On the other hand, Hyderabad Kingsmen, playing for the first time in the PSL, certainly had a disappointing performance in the beginning, but as the league progressed, there was a tremendous improvement in the performance of Hyderabad. Overall, they won 5 out of 10 matches in the group stage, including 4 out of the last five matches, which shows their consistent excellent form, due to which they were successful in reaching the Eliminator round of the league.

In the last match too, Hyderabad managed to secure a massive 108-run win against Rawalpindi. While Glenn Maxwell's 70-run knock in 37 balls helped Hyderabad reach a big score of 244, in bowling, Hunain Shah broke the back of Rawalpindi by taking four wickets.
