Northern Superchargers Women (NOS-W) will take on Welsh Fire Women (WEF-W) in the third game of the Women’s Hundred 2025 on Thursday, August 7, at Headingley in Leeds. Both teams will play their first game of the season. The Superchargers finished in fourth place last season with three wins in eight outings. The Fire finished in first position and qualified for the final. They faced the London Spirit Women in the final, which the Spirit won by four wickets after chasing down the target of 116 runs in 98 deliveries. The last two matches between the Superchargers and the Fire have ended in a no result. The Superchargers won two out of the first three matches between the two teams.

Hollie Armitage will lead the Superchargers once again this season. The Australian trio of Phoebe Litchfield, Annabel Sutherland, and Georgia Wareham are the overseas players in the squad. Sutherland was the highest scorer for the team last season and finished with over 200 runs to her name. She was also one of the best bowlers for the team and finished the season with 10 wickets at an average of 9.90. Linsey Smith will once again lead the bowling unit. She finished as the highest wicket-taker in 2024 and took 15 wickets in seven games at an average of 9.66.

Tammy Beaumont, the second-highest run-scorer for the Welsh Fire, will captain the side this year. Hayley Matthews has been a consistent player for the team and was the highest run-scorer for the team last season. She took 11 wickets as well last season at an average of 17.09. Jess Jonassen was the highest wicket-taker for the team last season and took 12 wickets in eight matches at an average of 14.16, an economy of 6.62, and a strike rate of 12.83.
