Preview

The Punjab Kings are all set to try and turn their fortunes against Lucknow Super Giants in the 54th game of the Indian Premier League 2025. Their match is slated to take place on the 4th of May at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. This is the second game between the two power-packed cricketing teams in the 18th edition of the league.

Earlier, LSG hosted Shreyas Iyer and his men in their third encounter of the IPL 2025 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, which was one-sided, as the visitors toppled LSG by eight wickets. After batting first, the hosts posted 171/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni's 44 and 41 runs, respectively. However, PBKS chased down the total comfortably, thanks to Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer's 69 and 52* runs, respectively.

Hosts Punjab Kings aim to double their lead over LSG and continue their remarkable run in this edition. Shreyas Iyer's Punjab Kings have already defeated LSG once this edition and seem confident of beating them again. On the flip side, Rishabh Pant and his men will be keen to win this game to not only avenge their previous loss but also revive their stuttering campaign.

PBKS and LSG's recent form and playoff prospects -

The Punjab Kings head into this game after beating the 5-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings, in their previous clash, which saw their captain Iyer's sensational hitting. With an almost near-certain berth in the knockout stage, the Punjab-based outfit aims to capitalize on their batting unit. On the other hand, LSG has been in a tough phase as they head to this game after suffering a 54-run defeat against the table toppers, MI. The side is banking on their skipper Pant to come out from his horrendous form and guide them back to winning ways.
