The upcoming edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC 2024) is all set to bring the legendary cricketers back to the pitch. From Yuvraj Singh’s explosive batting to Irfan Pathan's bowling, the tournament has been a feast for the fans.
With the new season kicking off on Friday, September 20, six teams are set to fight for the prestigious title across 25 matches. Teams to participate are India Capitals, Gujarat Greats, Toyam Hyderabad, Southern Superstars, Manipal Tigers, and Konark Surya Odisha (formerly Bhilwara Kings), respectively.
The new season will make history by bringing cricket back to Jammu and Srinagar after a 40-year gap. Along with Jodhpur and Surat, these cities will play host to the six-team competition. Each team will play seven league matches, with the top four advancing to the playoffs. The playoff stage will feature a Qualifier, Eliminator, and Semifinal, leading up to the grand finale
The inaugural year of 2022 saw not one, but two editions of the LLC. First up, team World Giants lifted the inaugural title. Later that year, India Capitals stormed to victory in LLC T20 Season 2
Fast forward to 2023, Urbanisers Hyderabad made it to the tournament's final for the first time, but they lost to Manipal Tigers in an exciting summit clash. Earlier that year, it was the Asia Lions who roared to victory against the World Giants in Doha, Qatar in the LLC Masters event.
