The state of Karnataka has produced some very good cricketers over the past few years. The quality of cricket in the state is excellent. Players like Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul have been doing consistently well for their state. In the last Ranji season, Mayank Agarwal looked in great touch and was in the form of his life. He was piling runs in heaps and seemed to be doing it consistently. Such great performances are usually rewarded immediately but it was not meant to be for Mayank Agarwal.
After finishing an incredible Ranji season, Mayank was expected to continue his form in the IPL. He didn’t want to be labelled as one season wonder. However, the opener wasn’t able to replicate his performances with the Kings XI Punjab and finished a poor IPL season with them.
With the cricketing season over, it was time for Mayank to focus on his personal life. After getting engaged in the month of January, Mayank and his longtime girlfriend Aashita Sood have decided to tie the knot.

The preparations for the marriage have started in full swing. Mayank expressed his excitement on Twitter after proposing to her girlfriend. The Karnataka batsman will be hoping that he regains his form and returns to his best. He needs to score a lot more runs on a consistent basis to put more pressure on the selectors. There are several players who are waiting to get a chance in the Indian team and it is not going to be easy for Mayank to break into the side. He will have to earn his spot by doing well over and over again.
