Virat Kohli and his performances in recent times have helped populous to believe that he might well be the greatest one-day player of all time. The 29-year-old lad already carries 34 centuries to his name with over 9000 one-day International runs. This led former English skipper Michael Vaughan tagged India’s ton machine, Virat Kohli as the greatest ODI player of all-times.

The 29-year old career started way back in 2008, but at that time, he didn’t get many opportunities and even struggled with few failures. However, after seeing the demand for the game at International circuit, Virat Kohli automatically made a paradigm shift from being ‘just’ a player to being regarded as the greatest of all times. In the nine years stint, many a time, Virat Kohli has been compared to the greatest one-day batsman ever, Sachin Tendulkar, who worked regressively with the full fortitude of over 20 years to make a name for himself.

Going by the records and Johli’s current form, one will have to say, he has been able to earn that respect quite nicely. In the third one-day International against South Africa, Virat once again showed the world that he definitely knows how to transfer his aggression while fielding to calmness while batting. Scoring a blistering century with the help of 12 boundaries and two sixes, he helped India post 303 runs on the board which eventually helped them to register their third straight win in the six-match one-day series.

His century became all the more special when greats of modern day cricket took to Twitter to praise his efforts and even term him the best. It was remarkable to see players from all nations coming out and praising his efforts. The former Australian captain Michael Clarke followed the footsteps of the English star to hail Virat Kohli as the best ODI player ever.
