Mohammed Shami was representing India A in India’s 50-over ODI tri-series when his wife accused him of adultery. Hasin Jahan accused that his husband was in a relationship with a number of girls in India as well as abroad in Dubai. Shami was booked by Kolkata Police on various non-bailable and bailable sections under Indian Penal Code after his wife filed an FIR.
The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) then put the name of pacer on hold in their annual contract list. Fans along with a number of former players expressed their views on the matter and felt that the Indian board was right in doing what they did. Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif has hoped the troublesome time for the pacer ends soon.
Kaif said that Shami was one of the very important members of the side and his one of the favorite bowler as well. “Everyone knows there is a case registered by Police on him, so it’s not right for me to say much about it, but I can say he is among favorite player and he is a big player,” said Kaif.
As a cricketer, pray the tough time ends for Shami
Kaif mentioned that things are going very bad for the bowler and he as a cricketer himself hopes that things get normal for the bowler. “Things are really going tough for him and as a cricketer, I would pray that things that are happening with him end soon,” said Kaif who was termed as India’s one of the best fielder ever.
When asked If the media is making the things worse for the pacer, Kaif was of the thought that since the matter is open to the public, media will react to it. “See his wife has gone to the media and revealed everything, so its all in the open now, so you can’t really control things after that. I’m just hoping everything would be fine soon,” he said.
