The Indian team seems to be in an upbeat mood ahead of their 2nd ODI against Australia, in Kolkata. While the City of Joy has been enshrouded in dark clouds and heavy showers, leading to uncertainty about the fate of the upcoming game, the Men in Blue opted to practice indoors ahead of the match. Mahendra Singh and Virat Kohli were seen playing around with a football, showcasing their expertise with dribbling and juggling the ball.

India are currently in a comfortable position in the series, leading by 1-0. The first ODI in Chennai saw the hosts win comfortably by 26 runs, aided largely by Hardik Pandya‘s stellar bat wielding skills. The 2nd ODI is all set to take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, on September 21 (Thursday).

MSD and Virat Kohli flaunt their football skills

With rain playing the spoilsport in Kolkata, the Virat Kohli-led boys chose to indulge in a football session for practice. The entire team was seen indulging in the activity, exuding vibes of the brotherhood and sound solidarity that the men share as a unit. Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni were found flaunting their football skills in particular as they juggled around with the ball. The way they tackled the football like experts gave off hints that they, most certainly, derive their skills by admiring pros of the game like Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo.

The cricketing duo’s affinity towards football is definitely not a new phenomenon. While Dhoni kick-started his adolescent career by being a goalkeeper in his school days, Virat Kohli leads the All Hearts Football Club in celebrity-studded matches, a team owned by his charitable trust. Dhoni and Kohli also have stakes in the teams Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa in the popular football tournament of the country, Indian Super League (ISL) respectively.
