Pakistan whitewashed the Windies in the 3-match T20I series with yet another convincing win this time while chasing a total. Windies, who elected to bat first, posted 153/6 on the board with help of Andre Fletcher’s 53 and Denesh Ramdin’s unbeaten 18-ball 42. Fakhar Zaman began the chase with a 17-ball 40 while Babar Azam anchored with his 2nd consecutive fifty of the series. Hussain Talat (31*) and Asif Ali (25*) finished the chase with 19 deliveries to spare.

All the stats and numbers that were recorded during the final T20I of the 3-match series:

3 – For the first time in the T20I format, Pakistan had 40+ partnerships for each of their first three wickets. This is overall the 10th such instance in T20I cricket and the 3rd while chasing.


4 – Number of debutants for Windies in this series. These are the most number of debutants for Windies in a T20I series/tournament since six debutants in the 2011 T20I series in England.

Pakistan too had three debutants in this series which are the most for them in a T20I bilateral series since the 2013 series in Windies where they had four debutants.


4 – Pakistan’s innings is only the 4th instance in T20I cricket where top four batsmen scored 25 and more during a run-chase. England against India in the 2007 WT20, India against Australia in the 2016 Sydney T20I and Australia against South Africa in the 2016 Cape Town T20I had 25+ scores from their top four batsmen while chasing.


9.88 – Pakistan’s run-rate of 9.88 in this series is the 3rd highest for any team in a T20I series/tournament. (Min: 500 runs) New Zealand scored at 10.85 an over against the Windies in the recent 3-match T20I series at home while Afghanistan scored at 10.13 against Ireland in the last year’s T20I series in India.


17y 362d – Shaheen Shah Afridi became the 3rd youngest player to make T20I debut for Pakistan. Mohammad Amir (17y 55d) and Ahmed Shehzad (17y 165d) are the only players to debut at a younger age than Shaheen for Pakistan.


336 – The 336 runs aggregated by Windies in this series are the 2nd fewest for any team in a bilateral T20I series. (Min: 3 completed innings) PNG aggregated 297 runs in the 3-match T20I series against Ireland played in 2016.
